Section 17.2 - Dealer and transporter number plates continued
(a) Dealer and transporter number plates assigned for use on vehicles during the registration period commencing January 1, 1966, and dealer and transporter plates assigned for use on vehicles on original applications in registration periods thereafter, shall consist of two number plates and one validating sticker, except that only one motorcycle dealer number plate and one validating sticker shall be issued to motorcycle dealers for use on a motorcycle. The validity of such dealer and transporter number plates shall expire December 31, 1973.
(b) Dealer and transporter number plates assigned for use on vehicles by dealers or transporters who are issued original registrations for registration periods commencing on and after January 1, 1973, and for dealers or transporters who are issued renewal registrations for registration periods commencing on and after January 1, 1974, shall consist of one number plate and one validating sticker, except that only one motorcycle dealer number plate and two validating stickers shall be issued to motorcycle dealers for use on a motorcycle. Such dealer and transporter number plates shall be reflectorized and such plates shall be continued for succeeding registration periods, until otherwise prescribed by the commissioner, so long as the dealer's or transporter's registration is renewed for each such registration period.
