Section XV-478 - Records of Waste Disposal
A. Each licensee or registrant shall maintain records of the disposal of licensed or registered materials made pursuant to LAC 33:XV.461-464 and LAC 33:XV.Chapter 13, and disposal by burial in soil, including burials authorized before January 28, 1981, when regulations removed the authorization.6
B. The licensee or registrant shall retain the records required by LAC 33:XV.478.A until the department terminates each pertinent license or registration requiring the record. Requirements for disposition of these records, prior to license termination, are located in LAC 33:XV.342.

6A previous Section, D.304, of the Louisiana Radiation Regulations permitted burial of small quantities of licensed materials in soil before January 28, 1981, without specific agency authorization.
