Section 6.503 - Affidavit, Verified Pleading, and Bond Not Required(a) A temporary restraining order or temporary injunction under this subchapter: (1) may be granted without an affidavit or a verified pleading stating specific facts showing that immediate and irreparable injury, loss, or damage will result before notice can be served and a hearing can be held; and(2) need not: (A) define the injury or state why it is irreparable;(B) state why the order was granted without notice; or(C) include an order setting the suit for trial on the merits with respect to the ultimate relief sought.(b) In a suit for dissolution of a marriage, the court may dispense with the issuance of a bond between the spouses in connection with temporary orders for the protection of the parties and their property.Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 7, Sec. 1, eff. 4/17/1997.
