Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5.002 of the Electoral Law, the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Elections Commission shall issue a proclamation announcing the date the presidential election shall be held. For the November 7, 2000 election, said proclamation shall be published no less than thirty (30) days before the date of said election.
