Section 16-21-2-1 - Applicability(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), this chapter applies to all hospitals, rural emergency hospitals, ambulatory outpatient surgical centers, and birthing centers.(b) This chapter does not apply to a hospital operated by the federal government.(c) This chapter does not affect a statute pertaining to the placement and adoption of children.Pre-1993 Recodification Citations: 16-10-1-7; 16-10-1-15.
