Section 296-874-20072 - Train employees who work on a scaffold(1) You must have a qualified person train each employee who works on a scaffold to: (a) Recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold they are using; and(b) Understand the procedures to control or minimize the hazards. (2) You must include the following subjects in your training:(a) Hazards in the work area and how to deal with them, including:(iii) Falling object hazards;(iv) How to erect, maintain, and disassemble the fall protection and falling object protection systems being used.(b) How to: (ii) Handle materials on the scaffold.(c) The load-carrying capacity and maximum intended load of the scaffold.(d) Any other requirements of this chapter that apply.Wash.
