Section 75-02-01.2-58 - Computing payment if individuals are added to the household1. If the individual being added to a household did not receive assistance in the previous month, assistance for the added individual is based on the pro rata portion of the additional monthly cash grant amount equal to the percentage of the month remaining after:a. The date of birth of a newborn, provided that the request for the newborn is made within ten days of the date of birth and the newborn's social security number or application for social security number and verification of birth are furnished within thirty days of the request; andb. In all other cases, the later of the date of the request or the date the individual becomes eligible.2. If the individual being added to an existing household received a temporary assistance for needy families grant from another state in the preceding calendar month: a. The added individual's cash grant must be determined effective the first day of the month of request or prorated from the date of eligibility, whichever is later; andb. The county agency shall compute the added individual's cash grant for the initial month of eligibility and the month following using prospective budgeting.3. If the individual being added to an existing household received a temporary assistance for needy families grant in North Dakota during the preceding calendar month: a. The added individual's benefits must be determined effective the first day of the month of request or prorated from the date of eligibility, whichever is later; andb. The county agency shall compute the added individual's cash grant for the initial month of eligibility and the month following by continuing the budget methodology which was used in the preceding month.N.D.
