In addition to the core examination, individuals must also pass a written examination for each category in which the individual is seeking certification. Competency standards for examinations given to applicators seeking certification in categories 1 through 7(B) and 8 through 11 will follow the federal standards for these categories as described in the U.S Environmental Protection Agency's Code of Federal Regulations 40 CFR § 171.103(d).
