Rule 15-3-1-1.2.8 - Loss of Required Trauma Care Capability

Any designated Trauma/Burn Center that loses, either permanently or temporarily, physician, nursing, or other patient care specialties required by this regulation, shall report that loss to the Department utilizing the state approved reporting system. If the loss will result in diminished capability for a period longer than 30 days, the facility must also submit a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) that addresses how the facility will become compliant.
