Rule 17-9509 - REINSTATEMENT OF EXPIRED CERTIFICATION
9509.1

If an MA-C fails to renew his or her certification, the Board shall reinstate the certification if the applicant:

(a) Applies to the Board for reinstatement of the certification within five (5) years after the certification expires;
(b) Provides evidence of having completed twenty- four (24) continuing education hours within the two (2) years prior to submission of an application; and
(c) Completes a CBC as required in accordance with Title 17 DCMR Chapter 85.
9509.2

If an MA-C does not hold a certification in another jurisdiction and fails to apply for reinstatement within five (5) years after his or her certification expires, the MA-C shall meet the requirements for certification pursuant to § 9505, Certification by Examination.
