Section 13b-96-23 - Solicitation prohibited(a) No certificate holder shall solicit or permit the solicitation of potential passengers at a facility served by a designated taxicab stand except as authorized and directed by the operator of the facility.(b) A driver shall solicit passengers within ten feet of the taxicab and only with the words "taxi", "cab" or "taxicab".(c) A driver shall not use a person, other than an authorized employee of the facility, to solicit a passenger, or to suggest to a passenger that an additional person be accepted as a passenger unless in a shared ride zone.(d) A driver shall not induce the hire of the taxicab by giving misleading information, including but not limited to, erroneous fare information, the times of arrival and departure of transportation facilities, the location of a building or place or the distance between two points.Conn.
