Section 20 AAC 05.738 - Designation of significant and minor hardship classifications for the Norton Sound herring gillnet fishery, Norton Sound herring beach seine fishery, Cape Romanzof herring gillnet fishery, Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery, and Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery(a) The commission designates the priority classifications 74 - 100 as classifications of applicants for the Norton Sound herring gillnet fishery who would suffer significant economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and who will receive entry permits as required by AS 16.43.270(a).(b) The commission designates the priority classifications 0 - 48 as classifications of applicants for the Norton Sound herring gillnet fishery who would suffer only minor economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and an entry permit originally issued to those applicants by the commission under AS 16.43.250(c) will have certain restrictions placed upon the transfer of the permit as required by AS 16.43.170(e).(c) The commission designates the priority classification 100 as the classification of applicants for the Norton Sound herring beach seine fishery who would suffer significant economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and who will receive entry permits as required by AS 16.43.270(a).(d) The commission designates the priority classifications 0 - 34 as classifications of applicants for the Norton Sound herring beach seine fishery who would suffer only minor economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and an entry permit originally issued to those applicants by the commission under AS 16.43.250(c) will have certain restrictions placed upon the transfer of the permit as required by AS 16.43.170(e).(e) The commission designates the priority classifications 74 - 100 as classifications of applicants for the Cape Romanzof herring gillnet fishery who would suffer significant economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and who will receive entry permits as required by AS 16.43.270(a).(f) The commission designates the priority classifications 0 - 48 as classifications of applicants for the Cape Romanzof herring gillnet fishery who would suffer only minor economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and an entry permit originally issued to those applicants by the commission under AS 16.43.250(c) will have certain restrictions placed upon the transfer of the permit as required by AS 16.43.170(e).(g) The commission designates the priority classifications 90 - 100 as classifications of applicants for the Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery who would suffer significant economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and who will receive entry permits as required by AS 16.43.270(a).(h) The commission designates the priority classifications 0 - 54 as classifications of applicants for the Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery who would suffer only minor economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and an entry permit originally issued to those applicants by the commission under AS 16.43.250(c) will have certain restrictions placed upon the transfer of the permit as required by AS 16.43.170(e).(i) The commission designates the priority classifications 74 - 100 as classifications of applicants for the Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery who would suffer significant economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and who will receive entry permits as required by AS 16.43.270(a).(j) The commission designates the priority classifications 0 - 38 as classifications of applicants for the Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery who would suffer only minor economic hardship by exclusion from the fishery, and an entry permit originally issued to those applicants by the commission under AS 16.43.250(c) will have certain restrictions placed upon the transfer of the permit as required by AS 16.43.170(e).Eff. 11/4/89, Register 112; am 12/31/2010, Register 196Authority:AS 16.43.100
