Section 20 AAC 05.736 - Point system for the Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery(a)Past Participation Points.A maximum of 90 points will be awarded to an applicant for past participation in the Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery. (1)Captain participation points.Captain participation points may be claimed for the 1985 - 1987 seasons, as shown on the following schedule: Season Available Points 1987 38 1986 34 1985 30 (2)Crewmember participation points.Crewmember participation points may be claimed for the 1985 - 1987 seasons, as shown on the following schedule: Season Available Points 1987 10 1986 9 1985 8 (b)Economic Dependence: Vessel Investment Points.An applicant may claim a maximum of 10 points for ownership, as of January 1, 1988, of a vessel that the applicant used or intended to use in the Nunivak Island herring gillnet fishery. If more than one applicant claims ownership of the same vessel, the commission will, in its discretion, divide the available points between the applicants according to each applicant's relative share of the vessel ownership.
