§ 3016. Penalties

Any natural or juridical person who intentionally violates or otherwise denies or hinders the enjoyment of any of the benefits granted by this chapter shall incur an offense and, upon conviction, shall be punished with a fine that shall not be less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) nor more than five thousand dollars ($5,000). The ruling of the court shall further provide for the benefits of this chapter to be granted to the professional association member without delay. The natural or juridical persons from both the private or public sector who hinder or act in such a way so as to affect the rights of the beneficiaries of this chapter shall be held liable for damages caused, including the payment of attorney fees and, at the discretion of the court, a restitution of up to three times the damages caused may be imposed.
