§ 812. Deposit and control of ticket sales

The product of the sale of the Additional Lottery tickets shall be remitted to the Department of the Treasury or deposited in banking institutions expressly authorized by the Secretary to these purposes, on the date or term established by the Secretary. The Secretary may provide for the vendor to discount from said product, the amount corresponding to the commissions and prizes paid.

The Secretary may require the vendor of wagers to establish a special account in a banking institution whereby electronic transfers can be made with the purpose of receiving the moneys from sales, make payments to the Department and receive payments from the Department.

The Secretary shall establish, by regulations, the reports that the vendors shall file in connection with the ticket sales transactions, as well as the form and manner they shall be filed, and the information they shall contain.

The Secretary may establish agreements with banking institutions and other private entities to carry out those functions, activities and services needed to implement the provisions of this chapter.
