Section 3-6-5.2-4.5 - Candidates for office as members of board or proxies of record; circuit court clerk as member of candidate's committee(a) A person who is a candidate for elected office or a member of a candidate's committee may not be appointed as a member of the board.(b) If an appointed member becomes a: (1) candidate for elected office; or(2) member of a candidate's committee; the member may not continue to serve on the board.
(c) An appointed member may not hold elected office while a member of the board.(d) The circuit court clerk may not be a member of a candidate's committee other than the clerk's own candidate's committee.As added by P.L. 9-2004, SEC.3. Amended by P.L. 230-2005, SEC.9.
