Section 71804.5 - [Operative Until 1/1/2025] Additional interpreters pro tempore hired; providing services to more than one court(a) After a trial court has considered applications under Section 71804, the trial court may hire additional court interpreters pro tempore pursuant to the personnel rules of the trial court.(b) A court interpreter pro tempore may not be an employee of more than one trial court, but may accept appointments to provide services to more than one trial court through cross-assignments.(c) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2025, and as of that date is repealed.Amended by Stats 2023 ch 556 (AB 1032),s 8, eff. 1/1/2024.Added by Stats 2002 ch 1047 (SB 371),s 2, eff. 1/1/2003.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
