Section 11.46.450 - Failure to control or report a dangerous fire(a) A person commits the crime of failure to control or report a dangerous fire if the person knows that a fire is endangering life or a substantial amount of property of another and fails to take reasonable measures to put out or control the fire, when the person can do so without substantial personal risk, or to give a prompt fire alarm if (1) the person knows that the person is under an official, contractual, or other legal duty to prevent or combat the fire; or(2) the fire was started by the person, with the person's consent, or on property in the person's custody or control.(b) Failure to control or report a dangerous fire is a class A misdemeanor.
