Rule 11.020 - Motions or Special Set Hearing Requests
(1) Any motion or matter for which oral argument is requested must include in the case caption the approximate time needed.
(2) If the motion is in a dependency case, the filing party may request it be added to the next scheduled hearing date. If the requesting party believes that the time allotted for the next hearing is not sufficient to accommodate argument on the motion or requested matter before the court, the requesting party may contact the court to request a future hearing date and time to include in the motion filing or request, after consulting with the other parties on their availability. The filing may also designate 'on a future date to be set by the court'.
(3) If the motion is in a delinquency case, the filing party may request it added to the next scheduled hearing date. If the requesting party believes that the time allotted for the next hearing is not sufficient to accommodate argument on the motion or requested matter before the court, the requesting party may contact the court to request a future hearing date and time to include in the motion filing or request, after consulting with the other parties on their availability. The filing may also designate 'on a future date to be set by the court'.
(4) The court, on its own motion, may reschedule a hearing at any time if it is determined that the time allotted for the matter is not sufficient to accommodate the argument in its current calendar setting.
