Chapter 44, originally Adult and Continuing Education, was filed and became effective prior to 9/1/1969. Subchapter 1, Adult Vocational Technical Education; Subchapter 2, Adult Basic Education; Subchapter 3, Adult Education; Subchapter 4, Evening Schools for Foreign Born; and Subchapter 5, Civil Defense Education, were a part of the original filing. Subchapter 6, High School Equivalency, was recodified from N.J.A.C. 6:17 by R.1973 d.317, effective 11/13/1973. See: 5 N.J.R. 330(a), 5 N.J.R. 403(c). Subchapter 7, Adult High Schools (Accredited Evening High Schools), was adopted as R.1973 d.318, effective 11/13/1973. See: 5 N.J.R. 331(a), 5 N.J.R. 403(d). Subchapters 6 and 7 were recodified as Subchapters 1 and 2 of N.J.A.C. 6:30, Adult and Community Education, by R.1982 d.39, effective 2/16/1982. See: 13 N.J.R. 721(a), 14 N.J.R. 205(c).
