Part 1346.5403 - SECTION 403 (IFGC) PIPING MATERIALS
Subpart 1.Section 403.4.2.

IFGC section 403.4.2 is amended to read as follows:

403.4.2Steel. Steel and wrought-iron pipe shall not be lighter than Schedule 40 and shall comply with one of the following standards:
1. ASME B36.10, 10M;
2. ASTM A53/A53M; or
3. ASTM A106.
Subp. 1a.Section 403.8.

IFGC section 403.8 is amended to read as follows:

403.8Protective coating. Where in contact with material, or passing through concrete or other abrasive material or atmosphere exerting a corrosive action, metallic piping and fittings coated with a corrosion-resistant material, sleeve, or casing shall be used. Steel pipe exposed in exterior locations shall be galvanized or coated with approved corrosion-resistant material. External or internal coatings or linings used on piping or components shall not be considered as adding strength.
Subp. 1b.Section 403.10.1.

IFGC section 403.10.1 is amended to read as follows:

403.10.1Pipe joints. Pipe joints shall be threaded, flanged, brazed, welded, or made with press-connect fittings complying with ANSI LC-4. Where nonferrous pipe is brazed, the
