Rule 281-41.187 - Research, innovation, and improvement
(1)Evaluation and improvement. Each agency, in conjunction with other agencies, the department, or both, shall implement activities designed to evaluate and improve special education. These activities shall document the individual performance resulting from the provision of special education.
(2)Research. Each agency shall cooperate in research activities designed to evaluate and improve special education when such activities are sponsored by an LEA, an AEA or the department, or another agency, when approved by the department, to assess and ensure the effectiveness of efforts to educate all children with disabilities.
(3)Support and facilitation. State rules, regulations, and policies under Part B of the Act must support and facilitate AEA, LEA and school-level system improvement designed to enable children with disabilities to meet the challenging state student academic achievement standards.
