Section 482-1-091-.01 - Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to implement the Alabama Long-Term Care Insurance Policy Minimum Standards Act (Article 3, Chapter 19, Title 27, beginning with Section 27-19-100, Code of Ala. 1975), to promote the public interest, to promote the availability of long-term care insurance coverage, to protect applicants for long-term care insurance, as defined, from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices, to facilitate public understanding and comparison of long-term care insurance coverages, and to facilitate flexibility and innovation in the development of long-term care insurance.
