Section 33-22-111 - Temporary licenses(a) The board may issue a temporary license to an applicant for: (i) Licensure who has provided all of the information required for licensure and is awaiting the results of the applicant's criminal history record background check under W.S. 7-19-201. A temporary license issued under this paragraph shall expire when the board receives the results of the applicant's criminal history record background check and issues the applicant a license or denies the application for licensure;(ii) Licensure pending completion of the experience and examination requirements established by rule of the board. A temporary license issued under this paragraph shall be valid for not more than six (6) months. No applicant shall receive more than two (2) separate temporary licenses under this paragraph; or(iii) A temporary license who, by training or experience in the field of institutional administration, the board determines is qualified to serve as the administrator of a nursing home that does not have a licensed nursing home administrator. A temporary license issued under this paragraph shall be valid for not more than six (6) months.(b) The holder of a temporary license under the provisions of this act shall be authorized to serve as a nursing home administrator for the period that the temporary license is valid.(c) The holder of a temporary license shall be subject to the standards of conduct imposed on a license holder under this act.Added by Laws 2024, ch. 111,§ 1, eff. 7/1/2024.
