Section 60.01 - Legal status; general powers(1) A town is a body corporate and politic, with those powers granted by law. A town shall be designated in all actions and proceedings by its name, as "Town of ....".(2) A town may: (b) Acquire and hold real and personal property for public use and convey and dispose of the property.(c) Enter into contracts necessary for the exercise of its corporate powers.
