Section 5916 - [See Note] Severability and construction(a) The provisions of this Compact shall be severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, or provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions of the Compact shall be enforceable.(b) The provisions of this Compact shall be liberally construed to effectuate its purposes.(c) Nothing in this Compact shall be construed to prohibit the concurrent applicability of other interstate compacts to which the states are members.Added by 2022 , No. 101, § 2, eff. 18 months from the date on which the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children as described in Section 2 of Act 101 of the 2021-2022 Legislative Session is enacted into law by 35 states.
