Section 41-1a-1204 - Automobile driver education fee - Amount - When paid - Exception(1) Each year there is levied and shall be paid to the commission the automobile driver education fee.(2)(a) Except as provided in Subsections (2)(b) and (c), the fee is $2.50 upon each motor vehicle to be registered for a one-year registration period.(b) The fee is $2.00 upon each motor vehicle to be registered under Section 41-1a-215.5 for a six-month registration period.(c) The following registrations are exempt from the fee in Subsection (2)(a) or (b): (i) a motorcycle registration; and(ii) a registration of a vehicle with a Purple Heart special group license plate issued: (A) on or before December 31, 2023; or(B) in accordance with Part 16, Sponsored Special Group License Plates.Amended by Chapter 33, 2023 General Session ,§ 14, eff. 1/1/2024.Amended by Chapter 397, 2012 General Session ,§ 6, eff. 7/1/2013.Amended by Chapter 274, 2007 General Session
