Section 823.503 - Beginning Criminal Proceedings

If it appears to the commissioner that an insurer or a director, officer, employee, or agent of an insurer has wilfully violated this chapter, the commissioner may cause criminal proceedings to be instituted against that person by the district attorney for the county in which the principal office of the insurer is located or, if the insurer does not have a principal office in this state, the district attorney of Travis County.
