Section 391.002 - State Symbols(a) The legislature must specify an item's historical or cultural significance to the state before designating the item as a state symbol.(b) The legislature may not designate any of the following as a state symbol:(1) a commercial product or an item that promotes or advocates the use of a commercial product;(c) Repealed by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1081, Sec. 4, eff.
