Section 7-51-1108 - Injunctions - Contempt(a) The board has the power and authority to enter into any court of the state of Tennessee having proper jurisdiction to seek an injunction against any person or adult-oriented establishment not in compliance with this part, and is further empowered to enter into any such court to enforce this part in order to ensure compliance with such provisions.(b) Any violation of an injunction obtained under this section is contempt with a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00).(c) Each day in contempt of such injunction is considered a separate offense.(d) The circuit, chancery, or criminal courts of this state and the chancellors and judges of the courts shall have full power, authority, and jurisdiction, upon application by sworn detailed petition filed by the board within their respective jurisdictions, to issue any and all proper restraining orders, temporary and permanent injunctions, and any other writs and processes appropriate to carry out and enforce this part.Acts 1987, ch. 432, § 8; 1998, ch. 1090, § 1.
