Section 39-14-702 - Possession of explosive components(a) A person commits an offense who unlawfully possesses any component part of an explosive including, but not limited to, a fuse cap, detonator or wiring, with the intent to produce or manufacture an explosive device.(b) A violation of this section is a Class A misdemeanor. (c) This section shall not apply to a component part of an explosive solely intended to be used in creating an exploding target for use in lawful sporting activity, when the part is possessed by a person eighteen (18) years of age or older.
