Section 952 - Satisfaction of judgment in whole or in part

If any party against whom a compensation agreement, award, or other order fixing the compensation payable under this act has been filed of record in any county of this Commonwealth in accordance with the provisions of section four hundred and twenty-eight of this article, or against whom judgment has been entered by the prothonotary of the court of common pleas of any county on any award or order of the board or a referee, shall, at any time, present to the department receipts or copies thereof, certified by any referee, showing the payment of compensation as required by the agreement or award in full to the date of presentation to the referee, the department shall issue a certificate to such party, in the form prescribed, stating the extent to which the judgment on the agreement or award has been reduced. Upon the presentation of such certificate to the prothonotary of the court of common pleas of any county in which such agreement or award has been filed of record as a judgment, or in which judgment on an award has been entered by the prothonotary of the court of common pleas, it shall be the prothonotary's duty to mark such judgment satisfied to the extent of the payments so certified, and, upon the presentation to such prothonotary of a certificate issued by the board under the provisions of section three hundred and seventeen of this it shall be the duty of the prothonotary to mark such judgment fully satisfied.
