Section 3761-516 - Nonliability(a) General rule.--Any person rendering service as a member of a utilization review committee for this program shall not be liable for any civil damages as a result of any acts or omissions in rendering the service as a member of any such committee except any acts or omissions intentionally designed to harm or any grossly negligent acts or omissions which result in harm to the person receiving such service.(b) Department personnel.--Any officer or employee of the department rendering service as a member of a utilization review committee for this program shall not be liable for any civil damages as a result of any acts or omissions in rendering the service as a member of any such committee or as a result of any decision or action in connection with the program except any acts or omissions intentionally designed to harm or any grossly negligent acts or omissions which result in harm to the person receiving such service.1971, Aug. 26, P.L. 351, No. 91, § 516, added 1996, Nov. 21, P.L. 741, No. 134, § 2, imd. effective.
