Section 1. The functions, powers and duties of the Attorney General with regard to the collection of data on crime from any police department within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the tabulation and reporting of such statistics, as set forth in sections 924 and 925 of the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L. 177, No. 175), known as "The Administrative Code of 1929," are transferred to the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police.
Section 2. There are hereby transferred to the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police to be used, employed and expended in connection with the functions, powers and duties transferred by section 1 of this Reorganization Plan, the records and equipment now being used or held in connection with such functions; the personnel employed in connection with such functions; and the unexpended funds available or to be made available for use in connection with such functions.
Section 3.Sections 924 and 925 of the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L. 177, No. 175), known as "The Administrative Code of 1929," are suspended in so far as they are in conflict with this Reorganization Plan.
Section 4. The Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police shall provide the Attorney General with such criminal justice statistics as the Attorney General shall require on a periodic basis to be mutually determined by the Attorney General and the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police.
Section 5. This Reorganization Plan shall take effect immediately.
