Section 17049 - Suits to be brought in name of city

All the powers and authority conferred on the treasurer of the county of Philadelphia by the third and fourth sections of an act, entitled "An act vacating part of old Master street, or Master lane, in Penn township, in the county of Philadelphia, and for other purposes," passed the sixteenth day of April, 1845, are hereby conferred on the receiver of taxes of the city of Philadelphia: Provided however, That all suits or proceedings that may be instituted, and liens filed for registered taxes, in pursuance of this act, or any act of assembly, shall be in the name of the city of Philadelphia; any act or acts hereby altered or supplied, or that are inconsistent herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
