Section 16958 - Sheriff to record deeds of property sold at judicial sale

The sheriff of said city shall present the deeds of all property that may be sold at judicial sales, whether for partition, or otherwise; and it shall be deemed a misdemeanor in office for the clerk, or prothonotary of any court, to admit such deeds to record until the same is properly registered; and the said sheriff is hereby authorized to demand and receive from the purchasers of such property, for said duty, the sum of twenty-five cents for each deed.
