Section 16802 - Pipes to be laid and culverts constructed so as not to obstruct running of cars

In laying water and gas pipes and constructing culverts on any street used for a passenger railway track in the city of Philadelphia, the officers and agents of said city shall be required to lay such pipes, and construct such culverts alongside of the railway track and in such manner as not to interfere or obstruct the running of the cars: Provided, That the increased cost of constructing culverts by reason of the railway in the street, be paid by the railway company to the city of Philadelphia; such increase to be ascertained by the chief engineer and surveyor of said city.
