Section 2070.9c - Imposition of Discipline on Additional Grounds(a) The commission shall direct the department to impose discipline against any educator for conduct found by the commission to constitute: (7) Sexual abuse or exploitation.(8) A violation of the code for professional practice and conduct adopted pursuant to section 5(a)(10).(9) Illegal use of professional title as set forth in the act of May 29, 1931 (P.L.210, No.126), entitled "An act to regulate the certification and the registration of persons qualified to teach in accredited elementary and secondary schools in this State; imposing certain duties upon the Department of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education; defining violations; providing penalties, and for appeal to the court of common pleas of Dauphin County."(10) Failure to comply with duties under this act, including the mandatory reporting duties set forth in section 9.1.(11) Actions taken by an educator to threaten, coerce or discriminate or otherwise retaliate against an individual who in good faith reports actual or suspected misconduct under this act or against complainants, victims, witnesses or other individuals participating or cooperating in proceedings under this act.(b) The commission shall establish definitions consistentwith this section.Added by P.L. 1205 2013 No. 120, § 6, eff. 2/16/2014.
