Section 8439 - Use of private morgue

In counties of this Commonwealth, where there shall be no morgue owned or maintained by the county, the coroner may remove or cause to be removed all dead bodies that may be found in any public place or the body of any unknown deceased person found within the county, or the body of any other deceased person on which it may be necessary to hold a post-mortem or inquest, to any private morgue within the county, as to him may seem most convenient for the purpose of holding such post-mortem or inquest.
