Section 5104.35 - County department of job and family services - powers and duties(A) Each county department of job and family services shall do all of the following:(1) Accept any gift, grant, or other funds from either public or private sources offered unconditionally or under conditions which are, in the judgment of the department, proper and consistent with this chapter and deposit the funds in the county public assistance fund established by section 5101.161 of the Revised Code;(2) Recruit individuals and groups interested in certification as in-home aides or in developing and operating suitable licensed child care centers, type A family child care homes, or licensed type B family child care homes, especially in areas with high concentrations of recipients of public assistance, and for that purpose provide consultation to interested individuals and groups on request;(3) Inform clients of the availability of child care services.(B) A county department of job and family services may, to the extent permitted by federal law, use public child care funds to extend the hours of operation of the county department to accommodate the needs of working caretaker parents and enable those parents to apply for publicly funded child care.Amended by 135th General Assembly, HB 33,§130.20, eff. 10/3/2023.Amended by 129th General Assembly, SB 316, §120.01, eff. 1/1/2014.Amended by 129th General Assembly, HB 153, §101.01, eff. 9/29/2011.Amended by 128th General Assembly, HB 1, §101.01, eff. 10/16/2009.Effective Date: 06-09-2003; 05-18-2005
