Section 52:14E-17 - Powers of State fire coordinatorThe State fire coordinator shall have all powers necessary or convenient to effectuate the purposes of this act including, without limitation, power:
a. To enforce and administer the provisions of this act; to seek mandatory injunctive relief in State courts; to issue subpoenas for the production of persons, things, and documents that are necessary to achieve compliance with the provisions of this act; and to prosecute or cause to be prosecuted violators of the provisions of this act in administrative hearings and in civil proceedings in State and local courts;b. To assess penalties and to compromise and settle a claim for a penalty for a violation of the provisions of this act in an amount as may appear appropriate and equitable; andc. To hold and exercise all the rights and remedies available to a judgment creditor.Added by L. 2003, c. 28, s. 7, eff. 3/10/2003.
