Section 48:2-32.8 - Advance notice of public meeting available on public document search systema. Notwithstanding the provision of written advance notice of at least 48 hours, but otherwise in conformity with the other provisions of the "Senator Byron M. Baer Open Public Meetings Act," P.L. 1975, c.231 (C.10:4-6 et seq.), the Board of Public Utilities shall make available to the public on its public document search system, established pursuant to section 2 of P.L. 2021, c. 96(C.48:2-10.2), advance notice of every public meeting conducted by the board five calendar days prior to the day of the meeting, unless a longer period of advance notice is required by law, pursuant to the "Senator Byron M. Baer Open Public Meetings Act," P.L. 1975, c.231 (C.10:4-6 et seq.); provided, however, that nothing in this subsection shall prohibit the board from updating any meeting agenda or adding an agenda item or removing an agenda item, as well as providing an updated agenda within the five calendar day period, consistent with public transparency. The provisions of this subsection shall apply to every public board meeting, including any public comment meeting, as described in section 4 of P.L. 2021, c. 96(C.48:48:2-32.9), regardless of the number of board members present at the meeting.b. For every public meeting conducted by the Board of Public Utilities, as authorized by law, the board shall provide, in the advance notice of that public meeting, pursuant to subsection a. of this section, a description of any action that may be taken by the board under each listed agenda item in the notice.Added by L. 2021, c. 96, s. 3, eff. 8/10/2021.
