Section 40A:12A-27 - Oversight of governing body over redevelopment agencya. The governing body of any municipality which has established a redevelopment entity may order the redevelopment agency, or any officer or employee thereof, to do such acts as may be necessary to comply with the provisions of any redevelopment plan approved by the governing body or to refrain from doing any acts in violation thereof, and may require the redevelopment entity to file, at such time and in such manner as the governing body may prescribe, reports and answers to specific questions concerning projects.b. The governing body of any county or municipality which has established a housing authority may require the authority to file, at such time and in such manner as the governing body may prescribe, reports and answers to specific questions concerning projects.c. Nothing in this section shall limit the executive powers of the mayor regarding municipal agencies in municipalities governed by a mayor-council plan of government under the "Optional Municipal Charter Law," P.L. 1950, c.210 (C.40:69A-1 et seq.), or of the county executive in counties governed by a county executive form of government under the "Optional County Charter Law," P.L. 1972, c.154 (C.40:41A-1 et seq.).
