Section 39:3-76.11 - Certain motorcycles prohibited on certain roads

A motorcycle having a motor with a maximum piston displacement that is less than 50 cubic centimeters or a motor that is rated at no more than 1.5 brake horsepower with a maximum speed of no more than 35 miles per hour on a flat surface shall not be operated upon limited-access interstate highways or public roads or highways with posted speed limits greater than 35 miles per hour.

Every person operating a motorcycle upon a public road or highway shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle under chapter 4 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes, N.J.S. 2C:11-5, section 1 of P.L. 2017, c. 165(C.2C:11-5.3) and all amendments and supplements thereto.
