Section 26:3A2-37 - Grants to local health agencies for hazardous materials emergency response programs

The Commissioner of Environmental Protection, in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted pursuant to section 4 of P.L. 2005, c. 3(C.26:3A2-38), to the extent that State or federal funding is available for the purpose, shall make grants available to certified local health agencies, or local health agencies designated by the board of chosen freeholders, as appropriate, for the costs, including the costs of training, equipment and personnel, associated with developing and maintaining an emergency response program for incidents involving hazardous materials, including, but not limited to, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive incidents, that is consistent with the plan developed by the department pursuant to subsection a. of section 2 of P.L. 2005, c. 3(C.26:3A2-36).
