Section 50.053 - Interpreters for person with communications disability: Oath; rights and privileges1. Before undertaking his or her duties, the interpreter shall swear or affirm that he or she will make a true interpretation in an understandable manner to the person for whom he or she has been appointed, and that he or she will repeat the statements of the person with a communications disability in the English language to the best of his or her ability.2.
