Section 422.153 - Composition; terms and compensation of members1. The Medical Care Advisory Committee consists of the Chief Medical Officer and: (a) A person who: (1) Holds a license to practice medicine in this state; and(2) Is certified by the Board of Medical Examiners in a medical specialty.(b) A person who holds a license to practice dentistry in this state.(c) A person who holds a certificate of registration as a pharmacist in this state.(d) A member of a profession in the field of health care who is familiar with the needs of persons of low income, the resources required for their care and the availability of those resources.(e) An administrator of a hospital or a clinic for health care.(f) An administrator of a facility for intermediate care or a facility for skilled nursing.(g) A member of an organized group that provides assistance, representation or other support to recipients of Medicaid.(h) A recipient of Medicaid.2. The Director shall appoint each member required by subsection 1 to serve for a term of 2 years.3.
