Section 335.026 - Oath of office, removal from board, when - meetings, when held, quorum - compensation and expenses1. Before entering upon their duties, members of the board shall make and file with the secretary of state the oath of office required by Article VII, Section 11 of the Constitution of Missouri, for all civil officers of this state.2. Any member of the board may be removed by the governor for misconduct, incompetency or neglect of duty. Before any member may be so removed, he shall be given a hearing and may appear in his own behalf, may be represented by counsel, and may present witness or other evidence. Any person aggrieved by the action of the governor after the hearing may appeal as provided in chapter 536.3. The board shall meet at least once each year as determined by the board. The board may hold such additional meetings during the year as may be deemed necessary to perform its duties. A majority of the board, including at least one officer, shall constitute a quorum for the conducting of business.4. Each member of the board shall receive as compensation an amount set by the board not to exceed fifty dollars for each day devoted to the affairs of the board; and shall be entitled to reimbursement of their expenses necessarily incurred in the discharge of their official duties.L. 1975 S.B. 108 § 4, A.L. 1981 S.B. 16
