Section 63-35-23 - Application of motor vehicle equipment and identification laws

A fully autonomous vehicle that is designed to be operated exclusively by the automated driving system for all trips is not subject to motor vehicle equipment and identification laws prescribed under Chapter 7, Title 63, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any regulations administratively promulgated therefrom that:

(a) Relate to or support motor vehicle operation by a human driver seated in the vehicle; and
(b) Are not relevant for an automated driving system.
