Covington County is bounded as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of section thirty-five, township six, north, range sixteen west; thence due north along section lines to Bowie creek; thence northwestwardly up the middle or thread of said creek to where the same crosses the line between townships seven and eight; thence due west along said township line to the line between ranges seventeen and eighteen, west; thence due north on said range line to the old Choctaw boundary line; thence north of east with said boundary line to the northeast corner of section thirty-three, township ten, range fourteen, west; thence south on section lines to the township line between townships five and six; thence west with said township line to the beginning.
